2023 GRAMMYs Black Winners List

Over 25 music artists make the 2023 GRAMMYs Black winners list

We know you’ve been waiting for the 2023 GRAMMYs Black winners list, and to no one’s surprise Beyoncé proved to the world why she’s the Queen of R&B. We’d like to apologize for the spoiler, but Beyoncé broke the record for most Grammy wins by a single artist with four wins!

That totals her Grammy awards to 32! The Queen was nominated for nine awards this year but she wasn’t the only Black artist to achieve such a high number of honors. Her husband Jay-Z was nominated for five awards including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, but did not win.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar had eight nominations for the night and won three of them, including Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. R&B singer Mary J. Blige was nominated with six but did not take home any gramophones. Lizzo also made the 2023 GRAMMYs Black winners list while winning Record of The Year.
