The Across the Spider-Verse official trailer reveals a June 2, 2023 premiere
After months of marvelous anticipation, the Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse official trailer has slung onto the interwebs. The forthcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from Sony Pictures will release next year on June 2 and continues the multidimensional story of Miles Morales while focusing on the youngster’s experiences as the hometown hero.
The first scene in the Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse official trailer features Miles Morales having a conversation with his mother as clips from the animated film are shown. Miles discovers a multi-dimensional menace after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, which causes him to discover the presence of other Spider-People. However, Miles’ divergent viewpoints cause him to clash with them, particularly Spider-Man 2099, a superhero from the far future.
The Sony Pictures official synopsis is as follows:
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar® winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The upcoming film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, and written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and David Callaham. Voice actors include Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Daniel Kaluuya, Issa Rae, and many others.
