Check out the Not Like Us live performance below!
The song of 2024 receives a new medium as a clip of Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us live performance at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California has surfaced on Amazon Music. K-Dot’s fourth number one hit single, and most likely will be his most viral in history, celebrated Juneenth as the Grammy award and Pulitzer Prize winning rapper performed the song for the very first time in front of a live audience.
The Not Like Us live performance was part of an event that was officially labeled as The Pop Out – Ken & Friends. Not only did Kendrick perform it, he did so five times, breaking Amazon Music’s livestreaming records. The live broadcast became Amazon’s Music most watched production across any platform, including both Prime Video and Twitch. Truly groundbreaking.
Special guests at the show included Dr. Dre, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Steve Lacy, Tyler, the Creator, Schoolboy Q, YG, Roddy Ricch, and even NBA all-stars including Los Angeles natives Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan.
“Y’all ain’t gonna let nobody disrespect the West Coast, huh?” said Kendrick. After opening with his first Drake diss “Euphoria”, the L.A. rapper performed “Like That”, “DNA”, “Alright”, and “King Kunta”. “Not Like Us” debuted on the Hot 100 on top at number one and also made the top of the list on Billboard’s Rythmic Airplay chart.
Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Out surely kicked off the summer with a bang and broke the internet. The Juneteeth concert will go down in history as one of Kendrick’s most celebrated moments in his hometown of Los Angeles. Hopefully we’ll get to see a full LP drop later this year.
