Atlanta Season 3 Release Date

After a long wait, Atlanta Season 3 is finally here

Atlanta Season 3 will be back on March 24, 2022 on FX. Has it really been three years since we last saw Earn? It’s hard to believe that Season 2 aired back in 2018. Oh, how things have changed…

Since then, FX has been acquired by Disney and has taken over Hulu. Atlanta Season 3 will be available for in-season streaming on Hulu for the first time with the 10-episode third season.  The new season will be promoted with a new teaser trailer on Christmas Day during ESPN and ABC’s holiday NBA games.

Almost entirely set in Europe, Season 3 of Atlanta follows Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred /Paper Boi’ (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) as they navigate their new surroundings as outsiders and have a hard time adjusting to the rapid success they’d hoped for. Atlanta Season 3 will start with a two-episode premiere on FX and will stream the following day on Hulu.

“We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24th,” said President of FX Entertainment, Eric Schrier. “Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great.”

Season 3 was ordered in the June of 2018 but had to be postponed due to Donald Glover’s hectic film schedule. The pandemic then forced the production to be halted in March 2020, thus delaying filming. Seasons 3 and Season 4 then proceeded to shoot back-to-back.

Atlanta received the most Emmy nominations of any comedy series in its second season, which aired in 2018. Atlanta has won five Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two AFI Awards, Peabody, PGA, WGA, TCA, NAACP, and Critics’ Choice Awards in its first two seasons. Check out the teaser below for Season 3 of Atlanta.
