Take a look at the Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer
The first Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer shows a glimpse of the next Black Panther, the entrance of Tenoch Huerta’s Namor the Sub-Mariner, and a whole lot more. The trailer was released at the end of the Marvel panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Director Ryan Coogler was present to preview the eagerly awaited movie, which will conclude Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Coogler took time at the convention to honor Chadwick Boseman, who starred as the protagonist T’Challa in 2018’s Black Panther film and passed away in 2020 due to colon cancer.
A number of returning characters are shown in the Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer including Winston Duke’s M’Baku, Letitia Wright’s Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia, Danai Gurira’s Okoye, and Angela Bassett’s Queen Ramonda. Dominique Thorne, who starred in Ironheart, gives us a sneak peek at her role as Riri Williams.
“The film is a blessing, we’ve all grown so much as a family with our characters. We’re so honored to bring this movie to you guys and honor big bro at the same time,” said Letitia Wright at the Marvel panel.
The Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer also shows the nation of Wakanda mourning the passing of their king. A beautiful mix of Bob Marleys “No Woman, No Cry” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” can be heard in the background of the trailer.
“I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone,” cries Queen Ramonda. “Have I not given everything?”
At the end of the teaser, a new Black Panther made an appearance, but it’s still unknown who will be playing the part that Chadwick Boseman previously and brilliantly filled. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
