First Trailer Drops For Apple TV Series Hijack

Upcoming Apple TV series Hijack stars Idris Elba

The first official trailer for the Apple TV series Hijack has landed, and the thriller is set to premiere with two episodes on Wednesday, June 28.

Starring Idris Elba as Sam Nelson, the Apple TV series Hijack follows the businessman as he takes control onboard a flight to London. Nelson makes an effort to save his fellow passengers during the seven-hour journey while on-ground officials work to investigate the issues. Gunmen on the flight  take control of the flight path, demanding that passengers give up their freedom while secretly cooperating to get it home safely.

Joining the cast, the series will also star Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles. In addition to Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Kris Thykier serve as executive producers, while the show was created by writer George Kay, who worked on Lupin and Criminal, and director Jim Field Smith who worked on Criminal and Truth Seekers.

Archie Panjabi, a winner of an Emmy Award and an NAACP Image Award, is a featured actor in the seven-part series following his work on The Good Wife, Snowpiercer, and Blindspot. Panjabi will take on the role of Zahra Gahfoor, a counterterrorism officer who is on the ground and becomes involved in the investigation.

Pack your bags and get ready as the new Apple TV series Hijack will debut on Wednesday, June 28 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes. Thereafter, one new episode will air every Wednesday through August 2 on Apple TV+.
