Amazon’s IMDb TV Is Available on iOS and Android

It’s official, IMDb TV is available on iOS and Android mobile devices in the U.S. The streaming platform does not require any money to use and is free to download. Users will be able to watch a library of movies and TV shows on demand.

IMDb TV is available on iOS and Android within the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. These are two new additions to the already released services on streaming devices including iPhone, iPad, Google TV, LG Smart TVs, Roku, and Amazon’s Fire TV, as well as gaming platforms such as Xbox One, XBox Series X/S, and PlayStation 4 consoles. Even though IMDb TV is available on iOS and Android, there are many other options where you can enjoy the platform.

Original content from IMDb TV will include the shows Alex Rider, Moment of Truth, Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, and more. The platform will also feature Amazon Studios originals like the docu-series Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary and the crime drama Leverage: Redemption.

Popular titles like Malcolm In the Middle, Mad Men, How to Train Your Dragon, Chicago Fire, The Wolf of Wall Street are also available to stream. The service does provide an ad-supported catalog but Amazon has mentioned that there are less ads shown when compared to live television.

In 2019, IMBd TV was initially named “IMDb Freedive” but was later rebranded. In what started out as a fan-operated website, the internet movie database is now owned as a subsidiary of Amazon. Currently, the IDMb website still maintains its online database of film and TV.
