The Disney+ D23 Expo presents the Marvel Studios Secret Invasion trailer
One of the greatest stories from Marvel Comics is getting its own show, and we couldn’t be more excited to view the Marvel Studios Secret Invasion trailer that just came out over the weekend. Announced earlier this year’s San Diego Comic-Con as part of the MCU Phase 5, Secret Invasion will bring Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury back on the screen as the character returns to Earth to fight the shape-shifting Skrull.
It was unclear whether the series would adhere to the original material when it was first revealed, but the Marvel Studios Secret Invasion trailer surely shows some similarities. We see several skrulls impersonating as humans and transforming into one person during a clip of the trailer, proving that aliens had invaded Earth. With difficulties differentiating them from allies and foes, Nick Fury must stop the shape-shifting aliens.
Additionally, we get some shots of actress Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and other members of the ensemble, including Don Cheadle, Olivia Colman, Cobie Smulders, and Ben Mendelsohn. The suspense grows as the trailer gradually explores the extent of the shapeshifters’ presence with humans.
The Marvel Studios Secret Invasion trailer finishes with Nick Fury wearing his eye patch, keeping fans and Disney+ subscribers interested until the show’s anticipated spring 2023 launch.
