Omar Sy is back as Assane Diop in the Netflix Lupin Part 3 teaser!
The Netflix Lupin Part 3 teaser has debuted as part of the streaming service’s Tudum event. Lupin has been a huge hit for Netflix because the international series had a solid first season and continued to improve in the second batch of episodes. The show is prepared to captivate the audience for a third time by luring viewers in with a continuation of the French heist drama.
For the curious, Tudum is a word meant to represent the “tu-dum” sound at the forefront of every Netflix binge we indulge in. Netflix created their own global fan event in 2022 called “Tudum”, which presented exclusive news, interviews, and various trailers including the Netflix Lupin Part 3 teaser.
The main character of the series, Assane Diop, played by Omar Sy, is back as the modern-day Arsène Lupin, the gentleman cambrioleur from the mystery novels of French writer Maurice LeBlanc. The third season of Lupin continues where the second one left off, with Assane’s vengeance on his employer, Hubert Pellegrini.
According to Netflix, the third season’s action begins nearly right away after Assane has fled and “must learn to live far from his wife and son. With the suffering they endure because of him, Assane can’t stand it any longer and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will turn his plans upside down.”
Sy has previously hinted that the thief’s inner circle will feature a larger cast in the upcoming third season. The exact date of season three’s launch has not yet been disclosed by Netflix, but in the meantime, you can catch the Netflix Lupin Part 3 teaser here below.
