The new Rihanna Wakanda Forever song is the artist’s second for the film’s soundtrack
On the eve of the Black Panther film sequel’s release, the new Rihanna Wakanda Forever song “Born Again” has been released and is currently streamable across most major music streaming services. It’s piano ballad was written by The-Dream, who also wrote Rihanna’s “Umbrella” (2007) and “Birthday Cake” (2011).
Prior to “Born Again”, the first single Rihanna released this year was “Life Me Up”, her first new song in six years as a lead artist and coincidentally her first single for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
There has been no announcement for Rihanna’s ninth studio album, but the hype has been increasing ever since the confirmation of her Super Bowl halftime show performance for this year. Even though she will perform at Super Bowl LVII, Rihanna recently told the Associated Press that she has no immediate plans to release a new album. However, the singer did mention that a different “special project” is currently in the works.
