Following 2022’s Mahal, the new Toro y Moi Hole Erth album has finally launched across all music streaming platforms and features a wide arrange of fresh material from Chaz Bear’s creative mind. Throughout the course of the album’s thirteen tracks, Bear skillfully blends pop-punk with autotuned, melancholic emo rap.
To create a body of work that is both distinctly contemporary and a reflection of Toro y Moi’s extensive musical background, the album blends various sounds and styles, expanding Bear’s lengthy eight-album discography. The Toro y Moi Hole Erth album features Death Cab For Cutie’s Benjamin Gibbard on “Hollywood,” Kevin Abstract and Lev on the single “Heaven,” as well as Duckwrth and Elijah Kessler on “Reseda”.
Also featured are glaive on “Starlink,” Don Toliver and Porches on “Undercurrent,” and another Don Toliver appearance on “Madonna.” Although Toro y Moi has a history of evolving with each new body of work, this new album may be his most daring LP to date.

“Thanks to everyone who’s been with toro through all the many stages and eras,” Bear wrote on Instagram. “I hope this chapter ignites a fire within, something true and unique to you. see you soon, <3 Chaz.”
Following the release of the Toro y Moi Hole Erth album, Toro y Moi will go on a number of tour dates throughout North America. Bear will play shows in his hometown of Berkeley, California on October 25th, which will be his biggest headlining show to date. Los Angeles, New York City, Las Vegas, and Miami are also included on the bill.
With the release of the new LP, Toro y Moi has released two official music videos — one for “Madonna” and the other for “Babydaddy”. Stream the full album here:
