Playmaker Films production agency has been introduced by the Chelsea and England forward
English professional footballer Raheem Sterling has formed the new Playmaker Films production agency that specializes in music video production, advertising, and branded content. Sterling has teamed up with award-winning music video director Carly Cussen to launch the new agency.
With the introduction of multiple projects under his foundation that addresses racial equality and social development, Sterling has strengthened his reputation outside of the football world in recent years. In addition to starting his own fashion business, the Chelsea winger has given opportunities to students receiving university scholarships.
“We’ve got some great projects lined up, with some amazing brands and talent, including Clarks ‘Back To School’ campaign which was a lot of fun to create and shoot,” said Sterling. I can’t wait for the world to see what we’ve got up our sleeves.”
Now with an emphasis on “entertainment first”, Raheem Sterling’s Playmaker Films production agency will specialize in creating branded content, advertisements, and music videos. This approach draws influence from Sterling and Cussen’s previously showcased joint work.
“Part of the day job involves a lot of time on sets at video shoots for brands,” Sterling continued. “Over time I was more and more interested in what was going on behind the camera. I’d worked with Carly on several projects, for brands like Gillette and Samsung, and I started to ask her questions about different aspects of the process. When it came to starting my own production company, she was the obvious choice.
