The new SZA SOS digital album includes two previously unreleased tracks
After a strong December 2022 release, a new addition in the SZA SOS digital album has surfaced. SZA has broken records the past few weeks reaching the highest streaming week ever for an R&B album as well as the third highest week for any album from last year.
The new SZA SOS digital album includes a solo version of “Open Arms” and the previously teased “PSA” that features a video visual. This variant of “Open Arms” swaps rapper Travis Scott’s verse with a new verse by SZA where she reflects on a moment crying about her previous relationships for an entire night.
“PSA” is short but sweet, only lasting for about a minute thirty but packs in numerous vocal harmonies alongside harps and soft piano. It was originally teased for the final cut of SOS, but SZA later confirmed she would include it in a deluxe edition of the album.
In an interview with Billboard, SZA appreciated her acknowledgment alongside Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. “To even be in the conversation with Taylor and Miley, even the fact that our fans are fighting, is ridiculous because it’s like, how?” said the singer. “I just really appreciate the opportunity to be in that conversation at all. It’s something I never dreamed of.”
After the release of her new album, the St. Louis singer songwriter has also announced her first ever arena tour, The S.O.S. North American Tour, which will go underway on February 21st and extend through March 22nd.
