Trevor Noah Is Hosting The 2022 Grammy Awards

Comedian Trevor Noah is hosting the 64th Grammy Awards show

Back for the 2022 Grammy Awards, the comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is hosting this year’s music award ceremony after a terrific job at the 2021 gig. Noah made the announcement with Gayle King on CBS Wednesday morning.

Marking the 64th Grammy Awards, the show is set to be broadcasted live from the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center) in Los Angeles on Monday, January 31 (8-11:30 PM ET live / 5-8:30 PM PT live) on the CBS Television Network. The 2022 Grammy Awards will also be available on demand and streamed live on Paramount+.

Trevor Noah is hosting his second year in a row and has received high praise. “Trevor was amazing as our host for the 63rd GRAMMY Awards with praise from the music community, music fans and critics,” said CEO of the Recording Academy Harvey Mason Jr. “We’re so excited to welcome Trevor back to the Grammys stage and feel fortunate to once again have him hosting what we believe will be an unforgettable evening.”

Even Noah himself had something to say when asked about hosting the Grammy Awards once again. “As the host, I serve so many purposes. If I’m not there, who lifts Kevin Hart into his seat? There are important things I’m supposed to be doing on that night. I give Jay-Z emotional support; he’s very nervous. I just tell him, ‘It’s gonna be ok, Jay. You’re breaking a record, you’re beating Quincy Jones in nominations.’ I’m there to give people moral support,” Noah joked.

The annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 12:30 PM PT. Prior to the 2022 Grammy Awards show, the Premiere Ceremony will be broadcast live on Grammy.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel.
