Detective Foley, who was determined to solve crimes in Beverly Hills, now has a new partner played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and will investigate corruption found in the Beverly Hills Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy has recently opened up about the struggles of playing the beloved character in Beverly Hills Cop 4, which will launch next summer, almost thirty years following the third film in the series which was released in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a hard one,\u201d Murphy told <i>People<\/i> in an interview. \u201cI did Axel Foley when I was in my 20s. I am not in my 20s anymore. It was an action movie. So it was a rough one. There are several reasons why the film is so eagerly awaited, including a cast that features both newcomers like Gordon Levitt and Kevin Bacon and returning favorites such as Paul Reiser and John Ashton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a really physical movie and I had to do some physical stuff,\u201d Murphy continued. \u201cI like to be on the couch, I don\u2019t like to be jumping over and shooting and running. And I had to do some jumping and shooting and running. And as a result at the end of the movie, I had a knee brace and my back is messed up. But the movie is gonna be special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the teaser, Detective Foley notes how Beverly Hills has evolved over time before an exciting series of explosions, heists, and unexpected auto collisions take place.
