The show which chronicles the life and legacy of one of hip-hop’s most influential groups was originally only planned for 10 episodes, which were written by a staff compiled of only 10 people. Nevertheless, An American Saga ultimately will include 30 episodes over the course of three seasons.
“This season deals with various elements of hip-hop culture through the eyes of the Wu-Tang Clan and its surrounding family,” RZA told Rolling Stone. “We explore the music, the fashion, the entrepreneurial elements, and that pioneering spirit that the hip-hop art form generates. We also explore the imagination and inspiration that the music invoked into the youth. We do this all while navigating the complex relationships that success spawns.”
Ashton Sanders continues to star as RZA, alongside Siddiq Saunderson as Ghostface Killah, Shameik Moore as Raekwon, Caleb Castille as Cappadonna, and Julian Elijah Martinez as Divine Diggs.
The final season of Wu-Tang An American Saga will premiere February 15 on Hulu.
