The Apple Sports app will publish updates from the NBA, NHL, MLS, and more
Tech giant Apple has developed a whole new Apple Sports App devoted to offering statistics and scores for everyone’s favorite sports. Whether you’re a hardcore NBA fan or a soccer fanatic, the app will always keep users up to date on live sporting events.
The increasing significance of sports to Apple’s profitable services division is demonstrated by the company’s most recent software release. The manufacturer of iPhones holds the rights to stream some Major League Baseball games on Apple TV Plus and is starting the second year of a ten-year agreement to stream Major League Soccer games. It had previously looked toward getting the streaming rights for the NFL’s Sunday Ticket package.
With the ability to have match updates appear on the iPhone’s lock screen in real-time, the Apple Sports app presents scoreboards in an intuitive layout. The MLS, NBA, NHL, and men’s and women’s NCAA basketball are currently covered by the free app. Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Premier League, and Serie A are among its other clientele.
Users may personalize their scoreboards by subscribing to their preferred teams, leagues, and tournaments. Fans of baseball and football are currently without options as the app does not currently provide stats for the MLB and NFL. Later on, Apple intends to provide coverage of the NCAAF, NWSL, and WNBA in addition to those leagues.
One of the most interesting features of the app is how it displays betting odds and lineup details in addition to updates. Users may effortlessly start viewing the game by just tapping into the Apple TV app.
Starting today, iPhone users in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada can download the Apple Sports app, which supports English as well as French and Spanish where available.
