A24 releases trailer for Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw The TV Glow
The first I Saw The TV Glow trailer has just surfaced on the internet, and it looks to be one of the most exciting films to come out in 2024. The Jane Schroenbrun-directed movie blurs the lines between fact and fiction, as it does in most A24 stories, making for an erratic and frightening watch.
The I Saw The TV Glow trailer presents Justice Smith’s character Owen, together with Brigette Lundy-Paine’s character Maddy, and their mutual passion for a television horror show named The Pink Opaque. However, their reality begins to melt once the show is canceled.
According to the official logline for the movie, “Teenager Owen is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.”
“Each episode they help each other fight a new monster from across the county. But it’s way too scary for most kids,” says Maddy of The Pink Opaque. “Sometimes The Pink Opaque feels more real than real life.”
The film’s soundtrack consists of music created by American singer-songwriter Alex G, Caroline Polachek, yeule, Sloppy Jane, and many more.
I Saw The TV Glow also stars Ian Foreman, Helena Howard, Fred Durst, and Danielle Deadwyler. The film made its debut at Sundance Film Festival this year and will premiere in theaters on May 3.
