Gabrielle Union Joins Apple TV Truth Be Told Season 3

Apple TV has revealed the new trailer for Truth Be Told Season 3. The NAACP Image Award winning legal/crime TV series stars Academy award winning actress Octavia Spencer who is also the executive producer of the show. The upcoming season will also star Academy award winning actress Gabrielle Union.

Based on the novel Are You Sleeping by Katheen Barber, Spencer returns to her role as an investigative reporter turned true crime podcaster “Poppy Scoville”. The Apple TV Truth Be Told Season 3 created by award-winning author, showrunner, and executive producer Nichelle Tramble Spellman will span across 10 episodes. The first episode will have a global premiere, and a new episode will air every Friday through March 24, 2023.

Season three also stars Merle Dandridge, Ron Cephas Jones, Mychala Faith Lee, David Lyons, Mekhi Phifer, Tami Roman, Tracie Thoms, and Haneefah Wood.

In the third season, Poppy is upset by the lack of media coverage for Black girl students who have gone missing. She joins forces with the principal played by Gabrielle Union to keep the victims’ names relevant to the public. As the investigation progresses, Poppy becomes increasingly concerned that a sex trafficking organization may be involved with the missing students.

Apple TV Truth Be Told Season 3 is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman. Executive producers include Spellman, showrunner Marisha Closson, Spencer, Mikkel Nørgaard, Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping for Chernin Entertainment, and Brian Clisham for Orit Entertainment.
