The very first Mr and Mrs Smith TV series teaser has been revealed
Amazon Prime Video recently shared the first ever teaser for the upcoming Mr and Mrs Smith TV series reboot that stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine. Set to launch this November, get a sneak peek at the teaser below.
In the brief Mr and Mrs Smith TV series teaser, Glover and Erskine are shown getting to know one another as they gear up, avoid explosives, and run in a chase. It offers a very little glimpse of what viewers may expect from the show’s revival. Details of the show’s plot are still unknown, although it does follow the union of John Smith played by Glover and Jane Smith played by Erskine after they both agree to work as spies.
The casting of Glover was initially confirmed in February 2021. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was rumored to play Glover’s co-star opposite her, but she left the show in September 2021 for “creative differences.” Erskine joined the cast in April 2022.
Other members of the cast will include Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano. Along with Hiro Murai, Francesca Sloane, Yariv Milchan, Aron Milchan, Jenny Robins, Michael Schaefer, Stephen Glover, Anthony Katagas, and Nate Matteson, Glover will serve as the show’s executive producer.
Swarm, a show about toxic fandom in Glover’s Prime Video series, debuted in March on the streaming platform. Prior to that, the talented actor and singer/songwriter released Guava Island on Prime Video. The acclaimed FX series Atlanta, which aired its final episode in November 2022, was another TV series he co-created and starred in.
