The OVO Sound first female artist drops her single “Another Life”
As the very first OVO Sound first female artist, Naomi Sharon has been signed by Drake’s music label. Drake celebrated the announcement with an Instagram post earlier this week.
“I been waiting for this day for too long now where the world finally gets to digest the insane amount of work you have put in since we met,” wrote Drake as the OVO Sound first female artist was signed. “My dear friend just dropped her single Another Life on OVO SOUND.”
The Dutch singer songwriter also celebrated in her own post. “Words cannot express how happy I am. I can finally share this news with the world. And I cannot thank you enough for this insane opportunity,” wrote female artist Naomi Sharon.
Well known in the music industry for her soothing voice and lyrics, Sharon is also a musician, social media influencer, model, and theatre artist. Some of her most popular songs are “The Moon”, A Natural Woman”, and “Fall Too Fast”.
With the announcement of the OVO Sound first female artist, the singer debuted two new tracks, “Another Life” and “Celestial”. Both songs are produced by Noah “40” Shebib, OVO Sound’s co-founder. Shebib has often collaborated with Drake in his previous works.
Shebib also took part to honor Sharon on IG.
“I’m honoured to be a part of this journey. I’m so proud of you and can’t wait for the world to hear the rest of what you’ve been working on,” he wrote.
Female artist Naomi Sharon now joins a music label that includes Smiley, Partynextdoor, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, Popcaan, Dvsn, and Baka Not Nice.
