USB-C fans get to rejoice for the Apple iPhone 15
Goodbye lightning port, the new Apple iPhone 15 will finally utilize the industry standard USB-C port. Revealed at the Apple Wanderlust event, the smartphone will arrive in four variants in addition with the Apple iPhone 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. Confused? With a ton of new functions and features, the new Apple iPhone 15 is built upon an industry-first color infused back glass that’s available in black, blue, green, pink, and yellow. It also features an aluminum enclosure and contoured edges, providing a streamlined design that we’ve grown to be so accustomed to from the tech giant. Also, with the USB-C port included across all versions, owners can charge their Apple Watch or AirPods straight from their iPhone.
The 15’s Dynamic Island feature, which offers smooth access to a variety of apps and tasks from the home screen, is powered by the A16 Bionic chip, which makes sure the device is operating as efficiently as possible. The device’s 48MP primary camera, which has a new 24MP default and 2x Telephoto lens, is top tier. It can capture images with up to three optical zoom levels and of extremely high quality.
Compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, which weighed 7.3 ounces, the 15 Pro weighs 6.6 ounces, which is far less thanks to its titanium frame. The 15 Pro and 14 Pro differ significantly in weight, despite this seemingly little adjustment of just 10%. Once you get your hands on the device, you’ll feel the difference immediately.
The 15 and 15 Plus, with display sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, are available for $799 and $899. There are three storage options for these models: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Both will go on sale next Friday, September 22, with pre-orders going live this Friday, September 15.
The most resilient back glass, a new “Action” button on the side, and a lightweight Titanium display are features of the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The Action button, which shares the same curved edges as the 15, lets users customize their iPhone experience. It provides quick access to the Voice Memos app, camera and flashlight functions, and a host of additional shortcuts.
For $999 and $1,199, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are available with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes. While the 15 Pro Max starts at 256GB and is also available in 512GB and 1TB capacities, the 15 Pro is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Pre-order and launch windows will be the exact same as the standard and “Plus” versions.
